Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association (OCWGA) announced their support of the efforts by Senators John Thune (R-S.D.) and Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) to improve the lives of America’s farmers. The Senators have proposed a series of changes to commodity programs aimed at making the Agriculture Risk Coverage program better for American farmers.

Statement on Designation of Lake Erie Impairment

Ohio’s farmers have been strong partners in protecting Lake Erie. The checkoff programs of Ohio’s corn, soybean and wheat farmers have made significant investments in science-based research to help farmers reduce phosphorous loss. OCWGA and Ohio Soybean Farmers Statement on GLRI

The Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association (OCWGA) and the Ohio Soybean Association (OSA) today urged Congress to again reject the steep reductions to the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative proposed in the Trump Administration’s budget. The president has proposed a 90 percent cut, which would reduce funding from $300 million to $30 million.
