DELAWARE, Ohio – Ohio Corn & Wheat congratulates the winners of the 2025 Ohio Corn Yield Contest, announced on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Growers from nine districts earned top honors, with Matthew Bame of Hancock County named the 2025 State Winner for an impressive yield of 347.51 bushels per acre using Beck’s Hybrids 6280TCV2P. Jim Dauch of Sandusky County was named State Runner-Up, posting a yield of 345.53 bushels per acre with Pioneer P1383AM.
The 2025 Ohio Corn Yield contest winners will be recognized for their achievements at the 2026 Celebration of Ohio Corn & Wheat on February 5, 2026, taking place at the Mac-O-Chee Castle, located in West Liberty, Ohio. Bame will receive a one-year free lease on an Unverferth Seed Tender, and Dauch will receive BASF corn fungicide in recognition of their work. All district winners and 300 Bushel Club winners will also be recognized during the Celebration of Ohio Corn & Wheat event.
