DELAWARE, Ohio – Ohio Corn & Wheat congratulates Morrow County farmer and agricultural leader John Linder on his upcoming induction into the Ohio Agriculture Council Hall of Fame. Linder is one of four individuals selected for this prestigious honor, with the official induction ceremony scheduled for Friday, August 1, 2025.
In addition to his current service on the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association Board, Linder is a fifth-generation farmer who has dedicated his life to advancing agriculture at the local, state, national, and international levels. His fellow 2025 inductees include:
- John H. Davis – Carrollton, Ohio
- Bill Isler – Prospect, Ohio (Posthumously)
- Steven D. Maurer – Botkins, Ohio (Posthumously)
Linder’s legacy of leadership includes serving as President of the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), Chair of the Ohio Corn Checkoff, and Chairperson of the MAIZALL Alliance Board, a global collaboration of maize producers from Argentina, Brazil, and the United States. He has also played influential roles on numerous NCGA Action Teams and served as a liaison to the National Coalition for Food and Agriculture Research, the National Corn to Ethanol Research Advisory Board, Growth Energy, and the U.S. Grains Council.
At home in Edison, Ohio, John, along with his brother Mike and daughter Katie Hankinson, operates Linder Farms, where they grow corn, soybeans, seed soybeans, and winter wheat. He also co-owns a successful propane business in Morrow County and is known as a champion tractor puller, having competed at both state and national levels for over 40 years.
