Ohio Corn & Wheat Applauds House Passage of Farm Bill

DELAWARE, Ohio – Long-overdue action to strengthen farm policy and restore much-needed certainty for farmers was delivered with the passage of the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 (H.R. 7567), commonly known as the Farm Bill. The U.S. House of Representatives voted 224-200 to pass the Farm Bill, a move the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association applauds.

Ohio Corn & Wheat thanks the members of the Ohio delegation who voted in support, including: Republican Representatives Troy Balderson, Mike Carey, Warren Davidson, Jim Jordan, Dave Joyce, Bob Latta, Max Miller, Michael Rulli, David Taylor, Michael Turner, and Northwest Ohio Democrat Representative Marcy Kaptur.

“We thank Ohio’s delegation members who stood with farmers and got this done,” said Eric Tipton, President of the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association. “This bill provides five years of certainty and strengthens the programs farmers rely on to manage risk in today’s high-cost, high-pressure farming environment.”

Now, the focus shifts to the U.S. Senate, where Tipton and the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association are encouraging its quick passage.
