DELAWARE, Ohio – Ohio Corn & Wheat is now accepting nominations for its Emerging Leaders Program, a two-day leadership development experience designed for Ohio grain farmers who are ready to deepen their involvement with the organization, grow as advocates, and take a more active role in representing their fellow farmers.
The Emerging Leaders Program helps participants better understand Ohio Corn & Wheat’s structure, priorities, and impact, including the work of the Ohio Corn Marketing Program, the Ohio Small Grains Marketing Program, and the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association. The program also serves as an important pathway for farmers interested in being considered for future service on one of Ohio Corn & Wheat’s three boards.

Participants will engage directly with Ohio Corn & Wheat leaders, staff, and fellow farmers while learning more about board governance, public policy, advocacy, market development, checkoff investments, and the issues shaping Ohio agriculture’s future. The program is designed for farmers at various stages of their operations, careers, or community roles who have shown leadership potential and a desire to serve the industry.
Farmers may nominate themselves or recommend another farmer by visiting www.ohiocornandwheat.org.
