Grain producers in the Western Lake Erie Water Basin can enroll in H2Ohio now through August 15th for this growing season.
H2Ohio is a state program that provides incentive payments for adopting practices on your farm that promote healthy waterways. Practices like voluntary nutrient management planning, over-wintering cover crops, subsurface phosphorus application, and more are all eligible for payments.
The program is data and science-driven, utilizing voluntary and proven practices to promote water quality and prevent nutrient runoff. Keeping nutrients like phosphorus out of Ohio’s water prevents the growth of harmful algae and protects drinking water for communities.
Sign up at your local Soil and Water Conservation District office. Learn more about the program at https://h2.ohio.gov/home.
