The USDA just announced that ethanol exports reached a record in the 2023-2024 marketing year – 1.886 billion gallons. That’s more than 673,571,428 bushels of American corn going overseas to international buyers.
Total ethanol exports were recorded at 1.75 billion gallons, but when combined with ethanol shipped to Japan in the form of ETBE (Ethel Tert-Butyl Ether) that number soared to 1.886 billion gallons.
The previous record set in 2018 was 1.61 billion gallons, with zero gallons being exported to Japan at the time.
Ohio Corn & Wheat is dedicated to increasing the demand for corn ethanol and will continue to work alongside partners across the United States and around the world to broaden the ethanol market.
