Ohio Corn & Wheat (OCW) reacts to President-Elect Trump’s nomination of Brooke Rollins to become Secretary of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Rollins, from Texas, previously served the Trump administration as the acting director of the United States Domestic Policy Council. Before that, she was the director of the Office of American Innovation for the White House.
Tadd Nicholson, Executive Director of Ohio Corn & Wheat, released this statement regarding Rollins’ nomination.
“I’m happy for Ms. Rollins, and I congratulate her on her nomination for USDA Secretary. No matter who is in office, the priorities of Ohio Corn & Wheat stay the same, and that includes protecting the social license of our growers to farm as they know best how to do, establishing and enforcing fair trade agreements that open markets for our corn and wheat products, and ensuring that the next generation of growers have the resources and support they need to take over family operations. I look forward to working with Ms. Rollins to accomplish these priorities and more over the next four years.”
