January 30, 2025, DELAWARE, Ohio – Tadd Nicholson, Executive Director of Ohio Corn & Wheat, issued the following statement regarding Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s letter to the EPA to delay E15 expansion.

“We are disappointed by Governor DeWine’s decision to delay the expansion of E15 in Ohio. This expansion would have provided immediate benefits to consumers and growers in our state, with minimal costs to fuel refiners. Since June 2021, Ohioans have experienced the benefit of E15 fuel, and there is no reason to delay a permanent fix in our state. Ohio Corn & Wheat, along with a strong coalition that includes the petroleum industry and bipartisan legislators, is committed to making year-round E15 a reality.”

“Now, more than ever, we need a nationwide, year-round solution. It is time for Congress to act. Expanding E15 is the quickest and easiest way to increase corn demand, support growers, and benefit consumers at the fuel pump. There is no reason to delay any longer.”
