Ohio is a key player on the world-stage for our high-quality soft red winter wheat. Your crop is consistently reputed as being one of the best amongst our international buyers.

One example of the work the Ohio Small Grains Marketing Program (your Wheat Checkoff) does to increase demand for Ohio’s wheat crop is participating in and hosting trade missions.

The term “trade mission” refers to hosting a group of international buyers and millers here in Ohio, or sending a group of Ohio farmers to another country. In both scenarios, farmers and grain buyers learn about Ohio’s soft red winter wheat production and the needs of international consumers.

In the months remaining of 2023, Ohio Corn & Wheat will host multiple trade mission teams from around the world. These missions are made possible through our partners at U.S. Wheat Associates.

Keep an eye out for more information as these international guests visit Ohio farms later this year!
