Cory Atley (center with trophy) is joined by Unverferth Manufacturing, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, and OCWGA at the Celebration of Ohio Corn & Wheat. Unverferth donated a seed tender for a year’s use to the 2019 Ohio Corn Yield Contest winner.

Each year, Ohio Corn & Wheat members have the opportunity to enter the Nation Corn Growers Association’s Corn Yield Contest. This highly competitive contest receives many entries competing in both their individual corn yield state competitions and the national corn yield competition.

This year’s Ohio Corn Yield Contest was won by Cory Atley. Mr. Atley’s entry was a DeKalb variety that yielded 314.55 bushes per acre on hisĀ farm near Cedarville, Ohio in Greene County. On hand to assist in recognizing Atley was Ohio Governor Mike DeWine who praised Mr. Atley’s accomplishment and success.

Atley was presented with his winning trophy and Unferferth seed tender at the Celebration of Ohio Corn & Wheat event that took place in Springfield, Ohio. The year lease of a seed tender was generously donated by Unverferth Manufacturing based in Delphos, Ohio.
