Twitter is becoming an important communications tool and we’re going to use it to our advantage as the Senate debates the 2012 Farm Bill. If you use Twitter, we encourage you to participate in a national effort to spark the passage of this legislation before its expiration September 30.
Using the hashtag #farmbillnow, join the National Corn Growers Association, American Farm Bureau Federation, American Soybean Association, National Association of Wheat Growers and other agriculture organizations to tweet to your Senators about the importance of this legislation.
Our goal is to have as many farmers, organizations and advocates tweeting to their Senators as we can. The effort will send the Senate a very clear message that America’s farmers want a farm bill this year.
